Canadian Winter Bus Campout Cambridge, Ontario Canada., Canada If you hate camping because of the insects, TCWBC is the campout for YOU. It's guaranteed that there will be no mosquitos or black flies and you should expect to use a minimal amount of sunscreen, if any. Seriously, if you've never camped in winter you should consider giving it a try. With the proper preparations you can camp just as comfortably in winter as in summer. Valens Conservation Area has plenty of winter activities... Cross Country Skiing, Skating, and Ice fishing are just a few suggestions. If those don't appeal then there's will always be a warm space for your chair around the campfire. If you have any musical talent please bring an instrument along as there will be people to jam with. This will be the fourth annual gathering and we're hoping to have more buses than ever make the trip to the TCWBC. Be assured that the facilities of the campground are top-notch and there will be flush toilets and warm indoor showers available at the comfort station located a short distance from our campsite. All of the sites we occupy are supplied with 30A of electricity so there plentiful power available to keep your camper toasty and warm. A group dinner will be served up on Saturday night, and a traditional FMBC Breakfast Burrito feasting will occur on Sunday morning. Please bring a couple bucks to chip in on dinner, and a contribution to the breakfast is also requested. I'll be announcing a web-based burrito contribution form online closer to the event date. "Bus Conservatists" who prefer not to drive their Precious German Iron in the winter are also welcome to attend the event. There's a number of hotels and motels in Cambridge located within minutes of the campground, including a Travelodge and a Super 8. Offical Humboldt VW Cruise and Potluck Fernbridge, California Humboldt VW invites you: All VW, Audi and Porshe Enthusiasts and owners are welcome to join us on February 24th for a cruise and potluck. The cruise will be a two-hour driving tour through the beautiful Avenue of the Giants, with a few stops along the way for pictures. We will then get back on 101 and head to my house in the scenic countryside of Ferndale for a potluck. There will be plenty of off street parking and plenty of room for everybody that comes. If you would like to join us for the potluck but not the cruise, please contact me at the email or phone number below and I will give you directions and time to the potluck. Meet at Angelina Inn in Fernbridge at 10:00AM. Potluck to start around 12:00noon. Directions to Angelina Inn Coming from the North/Eureka on 101 take the Fernbridge/Ferndale Exit. Go straight at the stop sign. Just around the curve on the left is Angelina Inn. I will be sitting there waiting for everybody. Coming from the South/ Fortuna on 101 Take the Fernbridge/Ferndale Exit. Go under the highway and keep to the right. Go straight past the Creamery and the Renner station. Annual BKC Dyno Day Peachtree City, Georgia Our 4th annual Dyno Day will be held March 10, 2007 at Allspeed's new location. Allspeed’s new site is located directly behind the Peachtree City Post Office and the Avenue Retail Center. This will be the first event at Allspeed's new facility complete with a burnout pad and other cool features! This event is open to any and all AIRCOOLED VW's. We have rented the dyno all day so there will be no rush and could leave time for some extra pulls if needed. We hope this will be a laid back, fun event for everybody. As usual the BKC will have our "Hot Dog Stand" up and running for lunch. ALL CARS WILL RUN WITH BELTS AND MUFFLERS IF COMPETING FOR HIGH HP and TORQUE. Other than that anything goes. The runs will start at 9 am, we will break for lunch around 11:30. Trophies for: High Horsepower High Torque Low Horsepower you dynoed WHAT! Cost is $35 for 2 back to back pulls. 2nd Annual Show and Swap Sacramento, California Come join us for the 2nd annual Niello all VW car show and swap meet. This year's event will be held on March 25th at the Niello VW dealership located at 2701 Arden Way in Sacramento California. This show is open to all air and water cooled Volkswagens. This year we are doing things a little different. All proceeds raised at this event will be donated to the "Ride to Walk" foundation. Ride to Walk is a therapeutic horseback riding program located in Lincoln California that enables children and adults with neurological disabilities to ride horses while benefiting from the therapeutic aspects of horseback riding. 2007 - 20th Annual Michigan Vintage VW Festival Ypsilanti, Michigan, Michigan Join us for the 20th Annual Michigan Vintage VW Festival as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Karmann Ghia Cabriolet. Friday, May 11th, join us at the host hotel, the Ypsilanti Marriott, starting at 7:00p for munchies, soft drinks, beer, and a meet-and-greet. This is also the starting point of the Michigan-to-California cross-country tour in celebration of the KG Cabriolet 50th Anniversary. Participants will start in Michigan and end up the following Sunday in Ventura California, at the 9th Annual Karmann Ghia Treffen. Saturday, May 12th, join us at Karmann USA HQ in Pontiac at 11:00a for a tour of their manufacturing facilities. By May 2007, Karmann will be producing the Pontiac G6 retractable hardtop and the next generation Chrysler Sebring convertible. Following the tour, Karmann will be serving lunch to all participants. Saturday, May 12th, join us for the annual MVVC Vintage Festival Banquet at Miller Motors and the Ypsilanti Automotive Historical Museum at 6:00p. At the car show there will be fire trucks, ladder trucks and pumpers from the many area fire departments, over 500 classic and custom cars and even monster trucks. We also host a VW item raffle and auction as well much campfire and conversation. All of our events are a charity to raise money for the Phoenix Society for Burn Survivors. The event will have VW only ¼ mile drags, car show, vendor row and swap meet. Schedule Saturday: gates will open from 2:00-10:00 pm for overnight camping and test and tune racing Sunday: The gates will open up at 7:00 and vendors and swap meet set up will begin. The show & shine participants will be setting up until 11:00 and will judging will begin at 11:00-1:00 with awards being given out at 3:30. The racing will begin at 9:00 and continue until 12:00.
